Why was Mastery Financial started?

Mr Ron Agar, established the business 40 years ago having always been passionate about numbers, accountancy and helping others, decided that the best way to embrace these passions was to serve his community as best he could. These life principles were instilled in his children and Michelle, having a heightened ability and interest in accountancy decided to carry the torch forward.

What does Mastery Financial sell?

A virtual finance team for less than the cost of an inhouse bookkeeper. We are an accounting firm in Canada that offers services such as tax planning, tax filing, bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, accounts payable, and business consultation.

Are you licensed and insured?

All our CPAs are licensed and insured.

What does Mastery Financial do?

It's been the family business for as long as I can remember. I can remember growing up, looking up to my dad growing this business. I remember thinking one day I'd like to be a part of it. And when my dad retired I was determined to take over the business to do something I'd studied for and been a part of all of my life. But most importantly to look after dad's customers and to serve the community with accounting excellence.

What cities are you in?

We work in all Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Edmonton, and Calgary. Because we're remote, we can perform bookkeeping and tax no matter where you're located in Canada. We also support USA and other Global companies who are coming to Canada.

How do I find out more about your services?

Book a discovery call with one of our advisors and we’ll set up a call to learn more about your requirements and to detail the services that are most relevant to you.

What takes place in the discovery call?

In this call you will discover if we’re a good fit and if so, we will arrange a second call - a strategy call when we can get into things in more detail.

What would I need to prepare ahead of the strategy call?

In preparation for the strategy session you will complete a questionnaire that will provide the data The outcome of this call is that we will be able to design a playbook of actions to prepare your business for efficient and cost effective virtual bookkeeping and accounting services.

What would be the next steps if we agree to proceed?

Once agreed upon, the engagement letter is prepared and submitted to you for signing and your onboarding is scheduled and coordinated with our service experts.

Software Questions

What software do you recommend?

We recommend a variety of software products such as Quickbooks Online and Dext. The software we recommended is based on your exact bookkeeping and accounting needs.

Who sets up the software?

We do that for you. The software is set up within 24 hours of you becoming a client.

Do we pay separate fees for the software?

Yes, the software is owned by you and is charged separately depending on the scope of your business and the number of user licences your business requires. Our clients enjoy preferred software rates due to our long-time relationships with the top finance software companies.

What level of support do we get when we become a client?

Once onboarding is completed, we deliver continuous email and telephone support. You will be assigned to experts for key areas of services who you will be able to contact at any time.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on complexity, urgency, size, and the services you'll require because we work with multiple companies of varying sizes and accounting requirements. Instead of setting unrealistic fixed pricing expectations, we explore with you to understand and advise on the services best suited to your business requirements and present costing options accordingly.

All costings are transparent and upfront, there are no hidden surprises.

Payments are made monthly in advance and include services and any related software.
